Regardless of what is said on the detergent packaging, you should always read the owner’s manual for the recommended amount of detergent to use with your washing machine.

Inspect the hoses!
At least once a year, pull out the unit and inspect the hoses in the back. Check for cracks, burst and early signs of wear or weakening in the plastic. It is recommended to replace the hoses every 5 years. You should consider switching from plastic hoses to stainless considering that stainless is more solid and made to last.
