Common Problems With Hot Water Dispensers | A-Tech Appliance NWA

Hot water dispensers are helpful appliances found either built directly into the kitchen sink or function as stand alone appliances. These devices work in very similar manors to water heaters, only in a smaller, more direct capacity. Thankfully, these appliances rarely run into problems. Should your hot water dispenser fail to work correctly though, our team of expert technicians at A-Tech Appliance can assist in repairing and replacing your damaged hot water dispenser.

Not Working At All

If the hot water dispensers fail to work at all, it likely is due to the device not receiving an electrical current. Check the power connection on the device and make sure you did not trip the kitchen’s circuit. If the breaker checks out and it is connected to an outlet, the heating filament may have been damaged and needs attention.

Not Correct Temperature

A common problem with water dispensers is over time, the water does not reach the desired temperature. This is due to a problem with the thermostat. You can adjust the thermostat to see if this increases the temperature. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to have the thermostat replaced.

Odd Tasting Water

If the water tastes odd there are a few different problems behind it. First of all, there may be a chemical and mineral problem with your water source. It also may be due to mold build up within the water dispenser (which usually occurs if you have not used the dispenser in a while). Check these areas before draining and refilling the water dispenser.

It doesn’t matter if you are in need of a singular repair part or the entire appliance needs to be replaced, out team at A-Tech Appliance is here to help. So feel free to contact us regarding all of your appliance needs and concerns.
