Your microwave is one appliance that is under constant bombardment from possible spills and other stain-inducing issues. If you’re tired of opening the microwave and seeing stains though, you’ll need to know how to go about cleaning your microwave. Here at A-Tech Appliance, we have the appliance maintenance tips needed to keep your microwave as new as the day you first bought it!
Paper Towels Trick
Take a number of paper towels and soak them in water. Then, place the paper towels into the microwave and let the microwave run for five minutes. The steam will help loosen up the stains and make it easier to clean!
Water & Vinegar
Similar to the paper towel option, take a microwave-safe container and add a cup of water. Then, add in a tablespoon of vinegar. Let it steam for five minutes. The added vinegar will take the water’s cleaning potential to the next level!
There are some great commercial cleaners out there that will work on the really caked on stains. However, when shopping around for a commercial cleaner just make sure to avoid anything with harmful fumes (check the label to make sure it says fume-free). Also, leave the door open to let it dry.
Dish Soap and Water
If you don’t have vinegar on hand (or just don’t like the smell), swap out vinegar with dish soap and let it run in the microwave for a minute. This will add a nice soapy residue to improve your microwave cleaning ability.
By taking advantage of these four hacks for cleaning your microwave, you’ll always have a clean appliance. However, if you need other appliance maintenance tips or are seeking assistance for other problems, now is the time to give our team at A-Tech Appliance a call!
